TUTVUSTUS
Raamatu autor N. Mihhailovski oli Suure Isamaasõja puhkedes «Pravda» sõjaväekorrespondendina Tallinnas. Ta võttis osa Tallinna kaitsmisest ning tegi kaasa 1941. a. augustis Balti Laevastiku retke Kroonlinna. 22. sept. 1944 saabus ta Tallinna, osales Ida-Preisimaa ja Königsbergi ründamisel, Oderil, Pommeris ja Brandenburgi all.
