Emil Kuhlmann, referred to himself in the artworld as "Kuhlmann-Reher". Emil was a figure and portrait painter born in 1886 Reher in Hanover and lived until 1957 Brannenburg am Inn.


Kuhlmann grew up in Linden (Hanover), and was a student of the School of Applied Arts Hanover. Kuhlmann attended (1895) the Munich academy with Carl Raupp, Franz von Stuck and Otto Seitz. He took study trips to Italy, Holland and France, and was a member of the National Association of Visual Artists of Germany, and the Munich artists' association. Kuhlmann was in the German Association of Artists Munich, and was active in Munich.

Немецкий живописец. Родился в Германии в городке Рехер в 1886 году. В 1903 году переехал в Мюнхен, поступил в Академию Художеств. Молодой художник периодически совершал творческие путешествия по Италии, Франции и Голландии. В творчестве Кульманна основное место занимали жанровые композиции и портреты.
