Suurte kaotuste hinnaga kaeti Saksa vägede taganemist Venemaalt Oranienbaumi alt Eestisse ning löödi raskeid lahinguid Narva rindel, Tannenbergi liinil ja Tartu all. Diviis hukkus Berliini all ja linnas endas hargnenud lõppheitluses.
