Chopiniana on lühiballett ühes vaatuses
Chopiniana ehk Les Sylphides (Metshaldjad) on lühike ja ilma süžeeta ballet blanc (prantsuse keeles "valge ballett", mis on oma nime saanud selle järgi, et baleriinidel on reeglina seljas valged kleidid).
Originaalkoreograafia Frederic Chopini muusikale lõi Mihhail Fokin. Chopini muusika orkestreeringu tegi Aleksander Glazunov ja seda oli juba 1893. aastal esitatud pealkirjaga Chopiniana.
Balletti Chopiniana nimetatakse “romantiliseks mõtiskluseks” ja seda on peetud esimeseks balletiks, mis on üles ehitatud ainult tantsule ja meeleolule ning millel puudub lugu. On vaid valgetes kleitides metshaldjad, kes tantsivad kuupaistel koos noore mehe või poeediga.
