Aksel Eist (1930–2000)
Maalikunstnik Aksel Eist sündis 1930. aastal. Suri 2000. aastal.
Lõpetas 1950. aastal Kehra Keskkooli, 1957 asus õppima Tartu Ülikooli arstiteadust. Lõpetas selle eriala 1963. aastal. Kunstiõpetust sai 1959–1964 Erich ja Melanie Arraku ateljeekoolis. Töötas 1964–1975 Tartus psühhiaatrina, alates 1990. aastast vabakunstnikuna.
Kunstnike Liidu liige alates 1989. aastast.
