Andres Allan, nägemuslik luuletaja, teoloog, rändaja meeles ja maal oli kaheksakümnendate andekamaid poeete, kelle tee katkes traagiliselt vara, vaid 22 aastaselt. Temast jäi maha üks kogu, «Urjamised» (1993), mille lõpp oli pisut hooletult koostatud ja mis kadus üleminekuaja kultuurilisse hajameelsusse. Et see andekas inimene ja tema mõtted ja leiud ei kaoks unustusse, tegi Lauri Sommer teoks ühe oma ammuse soovi ja uuris Allanist maha jäänud käsikirju, pilte ja mälestusi.
Ilmumata tekstidest ongi raamat koostatud.
