Atlantis 1937 Poolnahkköide – Gerhart Hauptmann
Kiiraurik «Roland» on teel Breemenist New Yorki, suure mitmekesise seltskonnaga pardal. Reisijate keskel viibib saksa arst Friedrich Kammacher; ta on maha jätnud oma perekonna ning loobunud kõigest Euroopas, et järgneda noorele tantsijatarile Ingigerd Hahlströmile, kes sõidab sama aurikuga. Ent «Roland» hukkub ookeanil ning ainult väike osa reisijaid päästetakse, nende hulgas romaani peakangelased. Hirmsa katastroofi elamused tekitavad Friedrich Kammacheris raske hingelise kriisi, mis laheneb alles Ameerikas, kus ta satub kunstnikkude miljöösse. Uute muljete mõjul Kammacher vabaneb aegamööda oma haiglasest armastusest dekadentse tantsijatari vastu ning ühes kujur Eva Burnsiga, kes saab tema muutunud elu kaaslaseks, pöördub tagasi kodumaale.
