Ross Macdonald - Barbaarne rannik
176 lk. 1992. a.Ross Macdonald (eraelus Kenneth Millar) sündis San Fransisco lähistel 1915. aastal. Alghariduse sai ta Kanada koolides; pärastpoole on lõpetanud Michigani ülikooli. Sõja ajal teenis sideohvitserina USA Vaikse Ookeani laevastikus. Hiljem asus autor elama Santa Barbarasse Californias, töötas õpetajana koolis ja pärast kolledžis, kuid kirjutas ka detektiivlugusid, ammutades ainest koduosariigi omapäraselt kirevast ja muutuvast ühiskonnast. On olnud Ameerika Detektiivkirjanike Ühingu president.
