Aleksander Antsoni «Berliini olümpiamängud 1936» on traditsiooniliste eestikeelsete olümpiaraamatute seas kõige esimene. «Noor-Eesti Kirjastus» andis selle välja erakordse kiirusega - mängud peeti 1.-16. augustil, raamatu ettetellimuste vastuvõtt lõpetati 5. detsembril ja teos ilmus veel olümoia-aasta sees.
Autor aitas sellele koostamise-toimetamise-trükkimise omalaadsele rekordiüritusele kõigiti kaasa, leppides käsikirja koostamisel kättejuhtuvate erineva tasemega allikate ja kontrollimata faktidega ning fotoreproduktsioonidega ajakirjandusest, mille tehniline tase, nagu te ise oma silmaga võite veenduda, jätab märksa paremat soovida. Niisamuti nagu noor lugeja vaatab pisukese kummastusega raamatu keelepruuki, nõnda märkab asjatundja mitmeid faktivigu.
