EESTI RAAMAT 2012
Edgar V. Saks (Tartu 1910 ? Montreal 1984) pole tänapäeva lugejale just tuttav nimi. Eesti kirjandusse tuli E. V. Saks läbi 1929. a. Looduse romaanivõistluse, kus tema romaan „Kodutu“ pälvis kolmanda auhinna. Romaan „Armuke” ilmus esmatrükis 1936. aastal ja keskendub ühele armusuhtele, mis kestab läbi kolme suve. Advokaat Juhan Eimar, kes teeb pidevalt armukadedaid etteheiteid oma naisele Helenale nooruses olnud suhte pärast, ei näe aga midagi taunimisväärset enda käitumises, pidevas flirtimises ja pummeldamises. Mees imetleb iseennast ja teda kannustab tegutsema egoistlik soov valitseda naise üle. Kas Helena tõesti oma meest lõpuks läbi nägema ei hakka?
