Voldemar Looga hukkus 1944 ja maeti Luugas. Oli nn. Rebasekutsikas, ehk kuulus A. Rebase üksusesse. Kirjanduse- ja luulehuviline, intelligentne noor mees. Temaga rindel kaasas olnud Marie Underi 1942. a. luulekogu "Mureliku suuga" ja reprofoto mehest endast ning kuulist läbistatud rahvariietes neiuga õnnitluskaart, mis oli ilmselt tema taskus. Tema asjad, dokumendid ja päevikud olid hoolsalt säilitatud venna, Meinhard Looga poolt.
