TUTVUSTUS
Aastatel 1921–1940 püstitati üle Eesti ligi 170 Vabadussõjaga seotud monumenti ning üle 120 mälestustahvli. Mõnele neist oli antud pikem, teisele lühem eluiga. Keeruliste aegade kiuste on peaaegu kõigist mälestussammastest säilinud vähemalt ülesvõtted.
Käesolev raamat jutustab 193 mälestusmärgi loo, millest enamik püstitati Eesti, mõned aga ka Läti, Soome ja praeguse Venemaa pinnale.
