Juubeliraamatu eesmärk on rõhutada Olustvere tähtsust kohana, kus tegutseb üks Eesti vanimaid erihariduse omandamise õppeasutusi – Olustvere Teenindus- ja Maamajanduskool –, ning tuua esile, et siin on antud eesti neidudele ja noormeestele põllu- ja maamajanduslikku eriharidust nüüd juba ligemale saja aasta kestel. Koolil on aga kaugelt üle 125 aasta pikkune ajalooline taust. Raamatus püütakse põgusalt näidata, millistes oludes, kus ja kuidas ning millisel ajendil tekkis kooli rajamise mõte, millal jõudis kool Olustveresse ja kuidas tegutseb tänapäeval.
