Lahemaa Rahvuspargi territooriumil, muinasjutuliselt kaunis paigas Eskul on vana kabel, kuhu juba 170 aastat oodatakse teelisi. Kabel ehitati Sagadi mõisniku Paul Eduard von Focki tellimusel ja pühitseti 28. oktoobril 1845. aastal.
Esku ja selle ümbruse vaimsuse kandjaks olid Esku köstrid ja koolmeisterid, isa ja poeg Juhan ja Kustav Weinmannid.
Raamat annab ülevaate kabeli ehitusloost ning siinse paikkonna koguduse elust Põhjasõjale eelnenud ajast tänapäevani.
