Burmeister, Albert, (1. VIII 1870 Tula, Venemaa – 6. I 1940 Laura alevik, Petserimaa), maleorganisaator ja maleülesannete koostaja. Sai Tallinnas keskhariduse ja tegi Peterburis õpetajaeksami. On üle 200 maleülesande autorina Eesti kompositsioonmalele alusepanija. Paljude ajakirjanduses ilmunud malenurkade (eesti-, saksa- ja venekeelsed) autor, eriti hinnatud oli Päevalehe (alates 1919) malenurk. Tema kodustel maleõhtutel käisid 1920. a-il malemängu omandamas Vladas Mikenas, Paul Schmidt, Gunnar Friedemann ja Feliks Villard. T: Шахматная задача (1903), Malemängu õpperaamat (1922).
