Aasta otsa on Archie Moses (Adam Sandler) ja Rock Keats (Damon Wayans) head sõbrad. Kuid ühel päeval saab Archi ootamatult teada, et Keats on politseinik, kes juba pikemat aega üritab narkoparun Frank Coltonit (James Caan) trellide taha toimetada. Moses juhatab Coltoni otse tema kätte, narkotehingu ajal selgub Keatsi tegelik identiteet. Toimub politseihaarang ning Moses ja Keats seisavad relvadega üksteise vastas. Õnnetuse läbi läheb Mosese relv lahti ja tabab Keatsi.
Pärast Keatsi paranemist kohtuvad nad taas. Moses tahab tunnistada kohtus Coltoni vastu, seni peab Keats, õige nimega Jack Carter, tema turvalisuse eest hoolitsema.
