Using Omniva – instructions for buyers

Omniva has the largest parcel machine network in Estonia – 285 parcel machines in 131 settlements across Estonia. You can find the locations of the parcel machines here.

Always have your e-purchases delivered to an Omniva parcel machine. This way, your parcel will be delivered quickly and you will be able to pick it up at a suitable time.

Locker sizes:

XS – 5 cm (height) x 38 cm (width) x 64 cm (length), real weight up 30 kg
S − 9 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
M − 19 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
L − 39 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
XL* − longest side up to 1.5 m. The sum of the longest side and the circumference (measured crossways to the longest side) of the parcel may not exceed 3 m. Real weight up to 30 kg.

* XL size parcels can only be sent if the postal item is handed over to an Omniva post office or courier and delivered at an Omniva post office or by a courier. It is not possible to send and deliver XL-size parcels via parcel machines. 

NB! The delivery cost is paid by the buyer upon receipt of the parcel from the parcel machine, post office, or courier.

Using Omniva delivery services within the OSTA.EE system

When participating in an auction, you will be displayed a message next to the delivery information that the seller can send the parcel to you using Omniva. The delivery cost is also displayed.

After the successful purchase of the item, the link ‘Delivery not confirmed’ (Transport kinnitamata) will appear on the right side of Osta.ee under the heading ‘Needs attention’ (Vajab tähelepanu). Clicking on the link will bring up a list of successfully purchased items for which the delivery method has not yet been confirmed. You can then choose the Omniva service for the delivery: the parcel can be delivered to a parcel machine, to a post office, or by a courier.

After confirming the delivery method, a parcel code will be sent to the seller and they will be able to ship the item.

Receiving of parcel from a parcel locker

When the parcel has arrived at the parcel machine of your choice, the door code of the parcel machine locker will be sent to you by e-mail and text message. Enter the door code, pay the delivery cost, and pick up your parcel from the locker.

Receiving of parcel from a post office

When the parcel has arrived at the post office of your choice, you will be sent an e-mail and a text message with information about the arrival of the parcel and its location. An identity document must be presented to receive the parcel. NB! The shipment is handed over only directly to the recipient or to a person authorised on the basis of a power of attorney. You must pay the delivery cost to receive the parcel.

Receiving of parcel from a courier

You will be called in advance and a suitable delivery time will be agreed. The parcel will be delivered to the address indicated by you when making the purchase. The parcel will be delivered to the person at this address after the delivery cost has been paid. You can pay the courier both in cash and with a bank card.

If the courier fails to reach you, the parcel will be delivered to the designated post office of your location and a text message will be sent to you.

Careful handling

In cooperation with Omniva, Osta.ee offers its customers the hassle-free delivery of delicate items (glass, electronics, tableware, etc.). If you choose the additional service ‘Careful handling’ when making a purchase, Omniva will ensure that your parcel is sorted manually and handled more carefully during transport.

How can I add the ‘Careful handling’ service to my purchase?

  1. Choose Omniva as the mode of transport when making your purchase.
  2. Under the list of parcel machines, find the ‘Careful handling’ option.
  3. Tick the box to add the ‘Careful handling’ service to your parcel shipment, and this information will be automatically transmitted to both the seller and Omniva.
  4. Look forward to receiving your parcel!

General information

The delivery cost that was stated in the information about the item won at the auction must be paid to receive the parcel. NB! The delivery cost is determined on the basis of the actual dimensions of the parcel. If the delivery cost differs from that shown in the item information, the actual dimensions of the parcel have turned out to be different from the size chosen by the seller. You can only pay with a bank card at the parcel machine! Post offices and couriers also accept cash.

The parcel machines are located outdoors and Omniva is not responsible for any damage caused during the delivery of temperature-sensitive items.

NB! Forgotten deposit payments will be automatically released to the seller 36 hours after receipt of the parcel if the parcel is picked up from Itella Smartpost, DPD, an Omniva parcel machine, or an Omniva post office. The payment will not be released if there is an active claim related to the transaction.
