Dibley küla on näinud juba kümneid vikaare. Nüüd on järjekordne neist elanike hulgast lahkunud ja vajatakse uut. Neile saadetakse Geraldine Granger (Dawn French), kes on otsekohene, armastab šokolaadi ja rockmuusikat ning on üsna ebatraditsiooniline.
