Sean Connery naaseb seitsmendat ja viimast korda James Bondina. SPECTRE ja selle juht Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Sydow) varastasid kaks Ameerika tuumapommi. Britid kutsuvad taas ellu 00-agendid ning Bond saadetakse Bahamale. Miljonär Max Largo (Brandauer) ja tema kolleeg, paheline Fatima Blush (Carrera) satuvad Bondi huviorbiiti. Asja sügavamalt süvenedes kisub Bond sekeldustusse ka Largo sõbratari Domino (Basinger). Rowan Atkinsoni esimene roll täispikas mängufilmis.
