Karl August Hermann Hindrey oli eesti kirjanik, karikaturist ja ajakirjanik. Hindrey oli Eesti esimene kunstikooli haridusega karikaturist. Ta algatas Postimehe satiirilise lisalehe Sädemed ja pilkeajakirja Kratt. Temast alates sai alguse lasteraamatute illustreerimine Eestis
