Märgil on kujutatud Kuressaare lossi ja kiri „KINGISSEPA” viitab perioodile 1952–1988, mil Kuressaare linna Eesti NSV-s kutsuti Kingisepaks.
Nimi „Kingissepp” anti linnale Eesti revolutsionääri Viktor Kingisepa auks.

На значке изображён замок Курессааре, а надпись «KINGISSEPA» относится к периоду с 1952 по 1988 год, когда город Курессааре в Эстонской ССР назывался Кингисеппом.
Название «Кингисепп» было дано городу в честь эстонского революционера Виктора Кингисеппа. Клеймо: Таллинский ювелирный завод.
