Väät, August, (24. III 1911 Vajangu v, Järvamaa – 9. IX 1961 Tallinn), maadleja. Hakkas sportima 1930 Tallinna Kalevis. Tõusis 1932 Eesti maadlusparemikku. Võitis 1945 NL-i mv-tel vabamaadluses kergekeskkaalus (72 kg) pronksi, 1946 oli pronksi võitjaid Kreeka-Rooma maadluses NL-i meesk mv-tel. Tuli 1945 ja 1946 vabamaadluses ning 1946 ja 1947 Kreeka-Rooma maadluses Eesti meistriks. Tegutses maadluskohtunikuna (1950 vab kat).
