Autor Tiiu Põld on sündinud 27. aprillil 1945. aastal Tallinnas. 1981. aastal lõpetas ta Tartu Ülikooli. 1974. Aastast on ta töötanud ajakirjanikuna ajalehtedes Rahva Hääl, Eesti Sõnumid, Sõnumileht ja Postimees, kirjutades põhiliselt juriidilistel teemadel.
