Mari Rääk oli keraamik ja metallikunstnik. Ta on loonud tooniderikka maalinguga keraamikat ja rikastanud seda eriala mitmete uute tehniliste võtetega. Mari Räägu arhailise moega taostehnikas reljeefidega ehted on ainulaadsed eesti tarbekunstis.
Lõhemat aega töötas kunstnik skulptuuri ja nahkehistöö alal, siingi andekust ja omapära ilmutades.
