Olin umbes 10 aastane kui Mart Poom tuli koondisega Viimsi Ateena hotelli, kus töötas minu vanaema. Istusin hotelli lobbis ning ootasin nukralt vanaema. Mart Poom tuli sisenedes minu juurde ning ütles, et oota ma tulen kohe tagasi. Ta käis parklas ning tõi mulle enda kulunud väravavahi treeningpalli, millele kirjutas sinise markeriga enda autogrammi ning tegi mulle pai. Pall on olnud umbes 20 aastat minu kodus riiuli peal. Otsustasin nüüd selle müüa.
