Peagi satub ta planeedi Kosmosekerad kurjade juhtide kätte, kelle eesotsas on president Skroob ja tema käsilane Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis). Seepeale palub Vespa isa, kuningas Roland, kosmosehulkur Lone Starri (Bill Pullman) ja tema sõbra Barfolemew (John Candy) abi. Ettevõtmine õnnestub, kuid Kosmosekerad ei anna niisama lihtsalt alla.
