Carl Larsson (1853-1919) on üks rootsi kunsti suurkujusid. Kriitiline hoiak ja tollases Rootsi ühiskonnas harjumatu otsekohesus ei lubanud kunstniku mälestusteraamatul «Mina» ilmuda varem kui 12 aastat pärast tema surma. Alles siis selgus, et rahva poolt armastatud kunstnik oli ka erakordne kirjanik, ning «Mina» pälvis suure lugejamenu.
