TUTVUSTUS
Johan Pitka avaldanud tiheda faktikoega raamatu «Minu mälestused suure ilmasõja algusest Eesti Vabadussõja lõpuni 1914–1920» (1921). Seekordsesse väljaandesse on koondatud tema mälestustesarjast ilmuda jõudnud «Minu mälestused I-III» (1937–1939) ning «Orkaanis ja džunglis. Minu mälestused IV» (1939), milles ta on kirjanikusulega jäädvustanud meenutused oma suguvõsast ja lapsepõlvest ning meresõitjaelust kuni 20. sajandi alguseni.
