TUTVUSTUS
Daniel Pennac (s 1944) on menukas prantsuse romaanikirjanik, kelle rahvusvaheliselt tuntuim teos on aga lugemisele pühendatud essee «Nagu romaan». Endise kooliõpetajana huvitab autorit küsimus, miks on lugemine muutunud noorte seas ebapopulaarseks ja kuidas seda olukorda parandada. Ta leiab, et probleem on pedagoogika kivinenud arusaamades -- lugemisest on tehtud sundus, mitte nauding, koolis ja kodus räägitakse lugeja kohustustest, ent lugeja õigused on jäänud tähelepanuta. Kuigi sisult tõsine, on raamat kirjutatud löövalt ja vaimukalt. Tegemist on ühtaegu pedagoogilise lugemisõpetuse kui ka liigutava kiitusega lugemise vajalikkusele.
