Tutvustus
Raamatu autor tõdes, et raamatu kirjutamine oli aeganõudev, kuid huvitav töö: „Palju abi oli külaelanike käsikirjadest ja materjalidest. Käisin diktofoniga eakamate elanike juures, ajasime paar tundi juttu. Tahtsin, et raamatus oleks nii ajaloolisi fakte kui ka inimeste meenutusi. Näiteks fakt, millal venelased esimest korda Pärispeale sisse marssisid, ja selle juures ka lugu.
