Raamat "Thais; Kuningatar Hanejala praeköök" Anatole France, 1969.
Käesolevasse Anatole France Valitud teoste köitesse kuuluvad kaks ülemöödunud sajandi viimase aastakümne algul ilmunud romaani, “Thais” ja “Kuningatar Hanejala praeköök”, mida seob teatav žanriline ühtsus. Mõlemad on valdavalt filosoofilised romaanid ning annavad põhjust pidada Frabce’i valgustuskirjanduse, eriti Voltaire’i traditsioonide jätkajaks.
"Thaïs" on prantsuse kirjaniku Anatole France’i romaan, mis ilmus 1890. aastal. See põhineb sündmustel Egiptuse Saint Thaïs’ elust, legendaarse ristiusku pöördunu, kes väidetavalt elas 4. sajandil.
"Kuningatar Hanejala praeköök" - romaani sündmustik toimub XVIII sajandi esimesel poolel Prantsusmaal, peamiselt Pariisis. Teose keskuses seisab abbé Jerôme Coignard. Pärast seiklusrikast elu astub ta teenistusse härra d'Astarae'i juurde, kes tegeleb kabalistikaga ning olevat otseses suhtlemises sülfide ja salamandritega.
D'Astarae'i juures töötab ka abbé noor õpilane Jacques, vaese praeköögi-pidaja poeg, kes hoolsasti paneb kirja oma armsa õpetaja sententse ja paradokse.
