Eesti niidi manufaktuur, ainuke sellelaadne ettevõte Eestis, asutati 1921.a. asukohaga Tallinnas, Balti Puuvillavabriku ruumides. Tööd alustati kui Inglismaalt tellitud spetsiaalsed masinad kohapeal üles pandi.
