Uus-Rootsi oli Rootsi impeeriumi koloonia aastatel 1638–1655 Delaware'i jõe alamjooksul tänapäeva Delaware'i , Marylandi , New Jersey ja Pennsylvania osariikide territooriumil . Uus-Rootsi asutati Kolmekümneaastase sõja ajal , kui Rootsi oli suurriik , ning see oli osa Rootsi püüdlustest Ameerika koloniseerida . Asulad rajati Delaware'i jõe mõlemale kaldale. Fort Christina , mis asus praeguse Wilmingtonis Delaware'is , oli esimene asula, mis sai nime Rootsi kuninganna Christina järgi . Asunikud olid enamasti rootslased , soomlased , mitmed hollandlased ja mõned sakslased . Uus-Rootsi vallutas Hollandi Vabariik 1655. aastal ja liideti Hollandi koloonia Uus-Hollandiga .
