Kuna senini Iisraelil polnud ühtegi medalid, siis Iisraeli Olümpiakomitee julgustas oma olümpiakoondise sportlasi nimetatud medaliga. Ja loomulikult medalil on jäädvustatud ka olümpia motto "Oluline pole võitmine, vaid osalemine" ...
