200. jalaväerügemendi mehed, selle raamatu peategelased, võitlesid 1944. aasta suvel Karjala kannasel. Augustis 1944 mindi Hanko sadamas laevale, et sõita n.-ö. viimsel hetkel tagasi Eestisse, kus Punaarmee liikus juba põhja suunas.
Nüüd võitlesid soomepoisid juba Eesti eest...
