Maarja Vaino (sünd. 1976) on kirjandusteadlane ja A. H. Tammsaare Muuseumi juhataja. 2011. aastal kaitses ta doktoriväitekirja teemal „Irratsionaalsuse poeetika A. H. Tammsaare loomingus“. Käesolev raamat on selle väitekirja täiendatud ja laiemale lugejale mõeldud versioon.
