Nikolai Gogoli eepiline jutustus, mis leiab aset 16. ja 17. sajandi vahetusel, kirjeldab Tarass Bulba juhitud verist kasakate ülestõusu poolakate vastu ja Tarass Bulba kahe poja kannatusi. Jutustus ilmus esimest korda 1835. aastal, põhjalikult ümber töötatud teise trükina 1842. aastal. Kirjandusteadlased on avaldanud arvamust, et algversioon oli pigem ukrainasõbralik, teine seevastu tugevalt russofiilne. Teos on kirjutatud vene keeles, esimene ukrainakeelne tõlge ilmus 1850. aastal.
