Timo K. Mukka (1944-1973) kujutas oma teostes Põhjala loodust ja inimesi. Ta enda sisemistest vastuoludest lõhestatud elu jäi niisama lühikeseks kui õitsema kiirustav Põhjamaa suvi. Tema tekstidest uhkab loomupärast annet, need on jõulised, läbi põimunud omapärase karge lüürikaga. Mukka teemadeks olid armastus ja surm, ainsad, millest tema arvates tasus kirjutada. Kirjanik ühendas oma teostes müütilist ja usulist ainest naturalistliku ja erootilisega. See kutsus esile teatud ringkondade moraalse nördimuse. Eluajal vääritimõistetud kirjaniku looming on saanud teenitud tunnustuse alles pärast autori surma.
