Tallinna-Tartu maantee 33. kilomeetrilt Oru-Tammiku-Tuhala suunas sõites jõuate viie kilomeetri pärast teeviidani, mis juhatab Nõiakaevu juurde. Rahvapärimus väidab, et Nõiakaev keeb, kui nõiad kaevus vihtlevad. Tegelikult paneb vee kaevust välja purskama seitsme meetri sügavuses voolav maa-alune Tuhala jõgi.
Haruldast vaatepilti võib näha enamasti kevadeti, sõltuvalt suurvee rohkusest. 2001. a suvel avastati Nõiakaevu kõrval Eesti võimsaim energiasammas. Raamat tõestab, et lisaks erakordsele loodusele on Tuhalal ka põnev ajalugu.
