Otepääl kasvanud Urmas Ott teadis juba lapsena, et tahab kellekski saada. Oli see nüüd pime auahnus, nagu Ott ise nimetas, või järjepidev ränk töö, nagu mäletavad sõbrad ja kolleegid, aga aastal 1986 startis televisioonisaade «Teletutvus», mis talletas Oti 250 miljoni vaataja mällu. Sellesse raamatusse on kogutud üle poolesaja inimese mälestused legendaarsest saatejuhist, mis annavad pildi Oti lapsepõlvest, tudengieast ning telekarjäärist. Siit leiab üllatavaid seikasid ja detaile, millest enamik Oti fännidest varem kunagi kuulnud pole, kuid ka südamlikke lugusid, žeste, millega telestaar oma lähedasi sõpru meeles pidas.
