Väike katekismus on usupuhastaja Martin Lutheri (1483 1546) kirjutatud. Saksa keeles ilmus see esimest korda trükist 1529. a. Eestikeelne esmatrükk pärineb aastast 1535 (tegijateks kirikuõpetaja Simon Wandradt ja köster Johann Koell).
Väikest katekismust on nimetatud «Väike Piibel», kuna selles on kokku võetud Piibli keskne sõnum. Luther ise oli kogu elu katekismuse õppija.

Raamat tahab aidata kristlasi leida usu põhitõdesid ja anda neile kindla eetilise aluse kiriku ja ühiskonna elus.
