Authentication

If you wish to buy and sell in Osta.ee environment, you will have to perform an authentication process.
Authentication involves verification of your identity. This will increase the security of our environment and will ensure that the person you conduct business with actually exists and does not act under false name.
By using your password and user name you can enter Osta.ee auction environment already before authentication, but you cannot buy or sell unless you have verified your identity.

When is authentication necessary?
You may perform authentication right after registering as Osta.ee user. However, if you do not intend to sell and bid immediately, you may authenticate upon commencing active business activities. You are asked to authenticate when you try to bid or sell an item.

How to verify your identity?
There are 4 possibile ways to verify your identity:

  • Internet bank - You can choose one of the five banks available. Authentication is required when you are about to bid or sell in Osta.ee environment. For that purpose you will have to enter your internet bank by using relevant passwords; after authentication, click on the link "Back to merchant". 
  • ID-card 
  • Smart-ID
  • Mobiil-ID

After completing one of these stages described above you will become fully entitled user of Osta.ee and you will be able to use all services available in our environment. Congratulations! Do not waste your time, plunge in boundless world of buying and selling!

If your personal data cannot be verified through the authentication tool, you will receive an error message informing you of the error, which we kindly ask you to notify to our customer support by sending an e-mail to klienditugi(@)osta.ee. 

NB! If you have not logged into your user account within three months, you will need to re-authenticate your user account for security reasons. 

NB! If you are a citizen of the European Union, but you do not have an Estonian personal identification code or the opportunity to use the above authentication tools, please contact [email protected] for registration and personal identification.
