Placing an item up for selling
You have come to a decision about selling something. You have bought new furniture and want to get rid of the old one, or you wish to sell a car to go on a trip - there are many reasons for selling and items to sell. But you do not know where to start and what to do..
Here we will provide a step-by-step guide of all stages of placing an item for sale in Osta.ee environment:
After logging in, first click on the button near the top of the page "Add new"
SALE
1) Insert new item
Select sales type, to determine the way for selling your goods. Read more about auction types here. Click on "Start new".
2) Incomplete sales
If you have previously left an auction entry unfinished, you can continue entering it by selecting the unfinished auction and clicking "Continue..."
ITEM INFO
1)Pictures
Add at least 1 picture. A maximum of 30 images can be added. Buyers want to see details and different angles
2) Title and description
You have come to a place that determines the success of your sales. You need to provide an attractive description of your goods to draw buyers' attention.
3) Categories
* Select main category – the category which is most suitable for the items you want to list.
* Select suitable subcategory.
If you want your listed items to occur also in other categories, tick the box before "Want to sell in additional category". In that case you will have to perform previous steps once more.
NB! When the auction is inserted to acategory not suitable for the goods, the auction will be closed or moved to a suitable category.
4) Item condition
Select which condition the item to be added corresponds to - Most often, the choice is between new or used, but in some categories there are more conditions.
5) Location
Mark the actual location of the item and move on to the next page.
SALES INFORMATION
1) Price and quantity
For auctions, set a starting price and, if desired, a Buy It Now price. Read about how to add picture to an auction here.
In the case of a fixed-price sale, determine the sale price and the number of sales to be organized (quantity).
NB! When a business sells goods, the sales tax must be included in the price of the item
2) Define duration
Choose how long your sale will last. The minimum duration is 1 day (24 hours), and the maximum is 28 days.
Set the start time of the sale.
3) Payment types
Choose which payment methods are suitable for you. Accepting deposit payments as part of e-account payments is mandatory. More about payment methods here
4) Choose shipment
Activate all modes of transport that are suitable for you and mark them as active.
5) Additional information
Here you can specify the desired delivery time, return policy, and age restriction for buyers.
At this point, you can review your listing by clicking "Ad overview" or move on and order additional services that will help your listing stand out.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
1) Front page special offer
Select the number of days you want.
2) Level-based category service
Select the desired level and number of days.
Finally, once you are satisfied that everything is correct, click "Listing completed" and an invoice will be generated for the opening fee and/or additional services (if applicable). After the invoice is paid, the sale will be activated immediately or on the date/time you specified.
