Smartposti user's quide for seller

Using SmartPosti in the OSTA.EE system (within the Republic of Estonia)

Please note: When sending parcels with Smartposti, the buyer will pay the shipping costs after parcel has arrived to Smartposti parcel locker.

When entering the data on an auction, you will find Smartposti in the transport selection. By selecting the shipment with Smartposti, a drop-down menu appears, where you have to select a locker of suitable size. The shipping costs of the selection are also displayed in the auction view.

Please note: By checking "Seller pays the shipping costs", the corresponding icon will appear in your item/items list view. In this case, as the seller, you pay for the transport at the parcel locker before the parcel is dispatched. We recommend using this service if you want to make your sales more attractive to the buyer by offering free shipping.

If you have not selected the shipping by Smartposti when entering the auction details, you can do so after the end of a successful auction by selecting I sell > Successfully completed > find the right auction > Add shipping method from the desktop.

If the auction was successful, then you have to wait for the buyer to choose the parcel locker that is convenient for them. Osta.ee sends automatically the message on necessity of making the choice to the buyer. If the buyer has confirmed their choice, a personal and one-time door code will be sent to your e-mail address (the door code is valid for 14 days). In addition to the e-mail, you can find the SmartPosti door code at the SmartPosti information of the corresponding auction: I sell > Successfully completed > find the right auction > Select activity > Transport/ Payment.

Using the door code, you can send the parcel from any SmartPosti touchscreen (blue parcel) locker. Shipping costs are not payable upon delivery. You can enter the code in the SmartPosti parcel locker by selecting Sending à With the door code.

Please note: If you have chosen the wrong locker size, you can change it on site by paying the price difference of changing the locker size. If the sender of the parcel does not want to pay the price difference, they must contact Smartposti customer service to make the change.

By going to your list of successfully completed auctions, you can see if and when the parcel has been received via the Smartposti link.
