What is a Guest purchases ? 

A guest purchase is a purchase made using the OstaKohe button at the point of sale, if the person making the purchase has not previously logged in to Osta.ee.
The following OstaKohe purchases are possible:

  • at regular auctions, where the seller has also added the Buy Now price
  • fixed price at Buy Now sales
  • on e-store purchases

Modes of transport

In the case of a guest purchase, you can choose between almost all modes of transport that are enabled by the seller at the time of sale. The exception is DPD:

  • If DPD is the only mode of transport for an auction or fixed-price sale, guest purchases cannot be made.
  • Also, this mode of transport cannot be selected among others, because the DPD mode of transport requires immediate payment of the transport amount. 
  • In the case of a guest purchase from the e-store, you can choose all modes of transport, including DPD.

Payment Methods

  • For auctions and fixed-price Buy Now sales- Deposit payment 
  • In the case of online store Buy Now purchases - bank link payment (delivered to the seller's e-account)

Guest account

A user account with limited activity rights - a guest account - is automatically registered with the guest purchase.
Your guest account username is your email address and the password was sent by email. If you have forgotten your password, click  here.

With a guest account you can:

* view the purchases made, monitor the progress of transactions
* release the deposit payment to the seller when you have received the item
* necessary notifications and purchase recommendations
* create and manage a wishlist of items that interest you


Why and how to confirm a guest account?
What advantages do you get when confirming an Osta.ee guest account?

* You can add items for sale and earn extra money that way.
* You can make bids at auctions and buy things from auctions as well.
* You have an overview of your sales and purchases for the last year.
* Free secure deposit payment - payment is made through a third, neutral, party (Osta.ee), who holds the money until the item has reached the seller from the buyer.
* You have your own virtual Osta.ee e-account, where money paid by buyers is received, which you can transfer to your bank account or use instead for purchases.
* You can monitor the progress of transactions (e.g. whether the item has been paid for, whether the transport has been confirmed, how far the transport is, etc.).
* Have an overview of the communication with the buyer and/or seller.
* If the transaction does not go smoothly and disagreements have arisen between the parties, you have the opportunity to file a claim, in which a third party, i.e. Osta.ee, also intervenes.
* Makes our environment safe. If the user has passed the data confirmation step, you can be sure that this person actually exists when entering into a transaction.
* Possibility to leave feedback.

How to verify a guest account?
You can confirm the guest account through authentication.
If, when authenticating the guest account, it turns out that there is already one authenticated account from earlier, these accounts will be merged and you can use and log in to the previously existing account from now on. Read more here.

If you have received the purchased items and transferred the deposit payments to the seller, you can also close your guest account if you wish.
