Service description

Offer My Price is a service that allows interested parties (logged in users) to submit their own price suggestions to the seller.

Offer My Price is a service that a seller can add to BuyNow auctions and fixed price sales* where:

  • BuyNow price of €10 or more
  • Quantity 1

The buyer can submit a maximum of 3 price proposals for an item with the Offer My Price option. 
Proposals below the minimum price set by the seller are also considered as a price proposal. 
Price proposals that are lower than the minimum price set by the seller will not be forwarded to the seller, but will count as 3 price proposals.
A price proposal submitted to the seller will be valid for a maximum of 24 hours, and if the seller accepts or rejects the price proposal, the buyer will have 24 hours to decide. The price proposal will then be cancelled and the buyer will be able to submit a new price proposal if he wishes.
If the seller accepts the proposal and the buyer makes a BuyNow purchase at the desired price, the buyer must immediately pay for the purchase to the seller's eAccount. No other payment methods are available.

How can I add a service to the items I sell?

  • In order to use the Offer My Price service, you must activate the corresponding service option in the item entry process and enter the minimum price from which you are willing to consider price proposals.

Price proposals to the seller

Price proposals to the seller are available:

  • Needs attention in the block
  • Osta.ee Dashboard > Transaction Type > Offer Your Price Notice is needed.

Price proposals will also be notified by e-mail.

Price proposal management (for the seller)

The seller can react accordingly to the price proposals submitted to:

  • Accept the price proposal. he seller can accept the price proposal. The price proposal is accepted by the seller, who then has the right to buy the item within 24 hours at the price proposed. By accepting a price proposal, the seller cannot accept any other price proposals within 24 hours, regardless of the order in which they were made.
  • Make your own price proposal. Both parties have the possibility to make up to 3 price proposals. 
  • Delete the price proposal. Once a price proposal is deleted, the price proposer cannot make any new price proposals to the seller for the same item.

The price offer will be cancelled if:

  • It is bought out at the BuyNow price.
  • The item's auction bid price comes within 2 steps of the BuyNow price.
  • If 24 hours or more have elapsed since the Buyer's price offer was made.
  • If 24 hours have elapsed since the Seller's counter-proposal or acceptance of the proposal.
  • If the auction ends
