What to do if the item purchased does not correspond to the auction description?

If the purchased item does not match the description, we recommend that you first contact the seller via the in-system messages. If no agreement can be reached with the seller, you should submit an internal complaint about the transaction. The complaint can be submitted within 21 days after the end of the sale + delivery time (if indicated in the terms of sale)*.

A complaint can be submitted by selecting Dashboard > I buy > Purchases/Bidding > Select action > Submit complaint.

NOTE: If you have paid for the item by deposit and you have received the item via SmartPOST, Omniva or DPD and the item does not match the description, please make sure to submit your complaint within 36 hours after receiving the item. Otherwise, Osta.ee will consider the transaction successfully completed and the deposit will be released to the seller.

If, in the course of the complaint, Osta.ee has assessed the received item as not being as described, the seller is obliged to refund the buyer the value of the item, including postage costs (if any). The buyer is obliged to return the item to the seller in the same condition in which the item was received. If the seller wishes to return the item, the shipping costs both ways must be refunded. However, if the item still corresponds to the description, it will be returned by agreement between the parties.
