Using Omniva – instructions for sellers

Omniva has the largest parcel machine network in Estonia – 285 parcel machines in 131 settlements across Estonia. You can find the locations of the parcel machines here.

The minimum dimensions of the shipment are 1 × 9 × 14 cm. The maximum weight is 30 kg.

NB! The delivery cost when using the Omniva parcel machine service is paid by the buyer upon receipt of the parcel from the parcel machine, post office, or courier.

Packaging

When sending fragile items (e.g. glass, ceramics, electronic equipment), be sure to pack the shipment in a box. The box must be large enough to accommodate the protective material surrounding the goods (e.g. bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard, granules) to prevent possible damage to the goods during transport. Do not use plastic wrap to send fragile shipments.Further instructions are available on the Omniva website.

Using Omniva delivery services within the OSTA.EE system

When adding a product for sale in the Osta.ee environment, you will find the Omniva parcel machine service option under the delivery methods. When you select the Omniva parcel machine service to send the item, a menu opens from which you can select a suitably sized locker.

Locker sizes: 

XS – 5 cm (height) x 38 cm (width) x 64 cm (length), real weight up 30 kg
S − 9 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
M − 19 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
L − 39 cm (height) × 38 cm (width) × 64 cm (length), real weight up to 30 kg
XL* − longest side up to 1.5 m. The sum of the longest side and the circumference (measured crossways to the longest side) of the parcel may not exceed 3 m. Real weight up to 30 kg.
* XL size parcels can only be sent if the postal item is handed over to an Omniva post office or courier and delivered at an Omniva post office or by a courier. It is not possible to send and deliver XL-size parcels via parcel machines.

If you have not chosen the Omniva parcel machine service when adding the product for sale, you can still do so after the successful end of the auction: I am selling > Successfully ended > Select auction >Add delivery method (Mina müün >Edukalt lõppenud >Vali oksjon > Lisa transpordiviis).

If the sale was successful, you have to wait for the buyer to choose the delivery method that suits them and specify the parcel machine, post office, or delivery address. Once the buyer has confirmed their choice, you will receive a parcel code and other information by e-mail.

You can hand over the parcel both at the parcel machine and at the post office. We recommend that you always write the parcel code and the phone number of the recipient on the parcel manually as well.

NB! The size of the parcel selected at the auction does not affect the size of the locker actually used. The size of the locker can be selected at the parcel machine. The service fee is calculated in accordance with the dimensions of the parcel. Place the XS-size shipment in the S-size locker of the parcel machine.

Sending a parcel from a parcel locker

To send a parcel pre-registered on Osta.ee:
1) Select ‘Send parcel’ (Saadan paki) on the screen, then select ‘I registered the parcel in the self-service environment / osta.ee’ (Vormistasin paki iseteeninduses/osta.ee`s).
2) Scan the barcode from the address card (you can also scan a parcel code from an e-mail or enter it manually).
3) The parcel machine then prints an address card that has to be put on the parcel.
4) The door opens automatically. Place the parcel in the locker and close the door.

Sending a parcel from a post office

To send a parcel pre-registered on Osta.ee:
1) print the address card and put it on the parcel. You can also print out ‘Order information’ as proof of handing over the parcel and hand over the parcel against a signature at the post office.
2) If the address card cannot be printed,the parcel must be handed over to the customer service employee with a parcel code,on the basis of which the customer service employee will put the necessary parcel card on the parcel and register it. 

Careful handling

In cooperation with Omniva, Osta.ee offers its customers the hassle-free delivery of delicate items (glass, electronics, tableware, etc.). If you choose the additional service ‘Careful handling’ when making a purchase, Omniva will ensure that your parcel is sorted manually and handled more carefully during transport.

Dear seller, please note that the additional service ‘Careful handling’ is not a substitute for proper packaging. You can find the packaging instructions of Omniva on the Omniva website.

General information

In addition to the e-mail, you can also get the parcel code from the service information of the respective auction: I am selling > Successfully ended > Select auction >  Shipment/Payment (Mina müün >Edukalt lõppenud > Vali oksjon > Transport/ Maksmine).

Using the parcel code, you can print the parcel card and use an Omniva parcel machine or a post office of Eesti Post closest to you. You do not have to pay the delivery cost.

Track the shipment in your list of completed auctions via the delivery information link.The parcel is stored in the Omniva parcel machine for 4 days. If the recipient does not pick up the parcel within this time, the parcel will be returned to the sender.
