Deposit payment
Secured payment is the safest way to pay for goods purchased by Osta.ee environment. Payment will take place through neutral third party (Osta.ee) who will hold the money until the goods are delivered from the seller to the buyer.
How does secured payment work?
- The buyer transfers money from bank to his/her e-account.
- Buyer will select an auction to pay for and initiates secured payment. Money will be reserved from buyer's e-account.
- The seller will be notified of the secured payment through e-mail and Osta.ee account.
- The seller will dispatch the goods and mark them as shipped. ( Sending from a parcel machine, the system automatically marks it).After shipping the goods have to be delivered during the delivery term indicated at the sale.
- Buyer will be notified of shipping the goods.
- When the goods arrive the buyer will indicate the goods as delivered and relevant amount will be transferred to the seller's e-account.
- Seller may transfer the money from e-account to his/her bank account.
Special occasions
- If the seller has shipped the goods, but the goods fail to arrive within set delivery term, it is necessary to contact the seller and make a complaint in the system to solve the issue and the payment. Money will be held until the issue is solved. Buyer can release the deposit at any time.
- If the goods arrive but the buyer is not satisfied with it (goods do not correspond to their description or are damaged) it is necessary to contact the seller and make a complaint in the system to solve the issue and the payment. Money will be held until the issue is solved. Buyer can release the deposit at any time.
- As an exception there is a possibility to open a complaint to resolve the deposit payment that is yet unsolved after the regular time of filing a complaint has passed. Only issues regarding deposit payment will be taken into consideration while resolving the complaint.
- Secured payment (deposit) that is not transferred to the seller after 36 hrs the item has been received from Itella Smartpost, DPD, Venipak, Unisend, Omniva parcel locker or Omniva post office, will be transferred to the seller automatically. Secured payment will not be automatically transferred when a complaint has been filed and is yet active.
Finding solution to secured payment
Problems regarding to secured payment will be solved based on the complaint system similar to any other problems that may occure during the sales or purchase of goods.
After finding the solution Osta.ee will transfer the money according to the solution either to buyer's or will cancel the transfer.

If the agreed transaction does not take place, is returned or is done in another way (for example, payment in cash), during the claim, the parties can cancel the initiated deposit payment. Both parties can initiate the return process if they wish. The option "Deposit return" appears for the seller at the top of the claim view page. Check the box and press the button. The buyer must initially indicate that they are not satisfied with the item and then the deposit refund can be started. After that,the other party to the transaction accepts the return offer and the deposit reservation is cancelled. If the return proposal is made by mistake or the other party does not agree with it, Osta.ee will settle the case and the deposit payment.
For the return of the deposit payment to the buyer parties dont have to file a claim. One partie can make a suggestion to return the deposit payment and other can either accept it or refuse it.
NB!
Accepting the secure payment is mandatory for seller on all the shown transport ways and no exeptions are allowed.
